In am a veteran television writer, producer and director during the past year I directed projects as varied as a major Canadian military history documentary, a series of humorous commercials for Waterford Crystal, USA and even a paranormal television pilot.

Many people know my work from PBS including 15-part childrenÕs wildlife series called Jim KnoxÕs Wild Zoofari, which I directed, and executive produced. The series aired nationally for 14 weeks in 2007. In addition, my PBS history documentaries Silent Wings and Lincoln and Lee at Antietam and several others are in wide distribution.

My career spans 25 years. During those two and a half decades, beginning at KAET-TV, Phoenix, AZ in 1984, I was fortunate to be on the ground floor of several network as well as television series launches.  Among the series I launched as a technical director were; Comedy CentralÕs The Daily Show as well as Emeril Live! for the Television Food Network and ABCÕs Who Wants to Be A Millionaire.

My years in New York included hundreds of hours of television production at all four major networks (ABC, CBS, NBC, FOX) as well as signature cable networks such as Showtime, HBO, MTV, VH1 and some networks that no longer exist. The shows I worked on ran the gamut from Inside the NFL (HBO) to the Concert for 9/11 at Madison Square Garden (VH1). The knowledge and experience from this extensive television background I now pour back into each new project via editorial approach, working style and technical know-how.

ÒI have had the Honor and I truly mean the "Honor" of working with Rob Child on several film projects in the past few years as have always felt a genuine respect for his ability to see the finer details that most Directors miss when filming Historical documentaries. Rob was and is always concerned with getting History right! Even if it meant a little more work on his part. If you are looking for a Director who will give you Quality, then you will have to look no farther than Rob Child. I have put my companies reputation in his hands many times and would recommend him any time if you want the best project you can get!
